Welcome to Delicate Desserts by Lillie

Our Story

Growing up as a child, I always looked forward to visiting my grandparents house and having my grandmother, Lillie, bake her sweet potato and apple pies for me.  I would sit in the kitchen and watch and she baked all of her grandchildren their favorite pies or biscuits. The kitchen and home would fill with the wonderful, sweet smelling aromas.  
Unfortunately, in March of 1998, my grandmother passed and any recipes of anything she had, my family did not have, because she never wrote them down.  Over the years, I would bake here and there and try other's baking but nothing compared to the taste or excitement I would get when I had when eating my grandmother's desserts. 
Then one day, I got in my kitchen and decided I would bake from my heart, and as I stood in the kitchen baking sweet potato pies (just putting what I thought should go in), I tasted it, and became emotional because it reminded me of my grandmother's pie!  It was then Delicate Desserts by Lillie was born.  I began making cakes and pies and only selling them to people I knew and the reviews were astounding.  I had tapped into my God given gift; baking.  Orders began to grow, but I didn't have the mixer.  I was still mixing with a hand mixer and whisk!!  Then my grandmother, Myrtle, who helped to nurture my passion, took me to the store and purchased my first mixer! Her exact words to me were "You are going to need this in order to make these orders faster!"
Delicate Desserts by Lillie was created from the love I had from eating my grandmother's baking. It is my hope and prayer that every time you take a bite of anything baked, you share in those memories with me!
